This training program empowers participants with the skills to systematically identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and implement effective control measures. Rooted in the principles of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 2007 (Kenya) and aligned with ISO 45001:2018, the course promotes a proactive approach to risk management across all industries.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Understand the legal and organizational importance of HIRA
- Identify physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial hazards
- Apply structured risk assessment methodologies (qualitative and quantitative)
- Prioritize risks using risk matrices and scoring systems
- Recommend and implement appropriate control measures
- Monitor and review risk assessments for continuous improvement
